Bunny Nails! - An Easter Repost

Happy Easter Monday :) for those of you lucky enough to get the day off today I envy you! Today I'm sharing with you some Easter bunny nails.

It's actually pretty simple, using China Glaze's Light as Air as a base I stamped little bunnies from Konad dupe plate S10, which I got from the Born Pretty Store. The images on this plate worked perfectly with my Konad special polish in white, but when I tried some other regular polishes (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri) that normally work good for stamping, they didn't deliver on this plate.

I stamped the cute little bunnies pretty randomly on each nail so no two are the same. I added two coats of China Glaze Golden Enchantment on top, which is a gold holo glitter :) for the most part in doors it looks like a subtle gold glitter, but in direct lighting and natural sunlight the holo particles really shine!

Spotted! - Essence in Canada!

Today I've spotted Essence for the first time in Canada! I head heard about them coming to Shoppers Drug Mart but hadn't seen them until last weekend. It may have been due to the fact this display was in the same isle as deodorant ... what the hell Shoppers?!

Judging from the display it looks like it has been out for a little bit. The price compared to the U.S looks slightly higher, although I'm not familiar with all the specific product prices. The products start as $1.49 as the POP displays, and the hail polish is $1.49 as well.

My Easter Nails :)

I don't usually post on the weekend but I wanted to share my Easter mani with you all before Easter :)

Light As Air

More spring polishes on the way! Today I have China Glaze's Light As Air, from their Up and Away collection they released for spring a couple years back. Although I've had this one for a while now, this is the first time I've worn it.

In the bottle it looks like a very light pastel purple that appeared to be so light it looked like a light grey! On the nail, however, it is a little darker than the bottle, a nice pastel purple :)

I applied two coats to even everything out. The first coat was a tad thick and streaky, the second coat helped to even everything out. It wasn't the worst polish I've ever applied, but it wasn't my favorite either. I find most lighter colours and pastels have some issues with application, so I kind of expected it.

I topped off this mani with Seche Vite for some high gloss and to even everything out. I think I may use this as a base for an Easter mani :)

Bamboo-zled!

I haven't been using Konad/ fauxnad as much as I'd like to lately, and wanted a fresh new look without taking off Kustom Kicks, so I used my Konad dupe, M66 and stamped some bamboo with Konad special white polish!

To top everything off I applied two coats of Funky Fingers flakie, Asylum. In certain lighting my nails reminded me of a mermaids tail :) I kind of wish I had taken some more photos, by the time I looked at them on my computer I had already removed this mani. I can tell you is that it looked a lot cooler in real life.

P.S. My boyfriend takes credit for the title of this post! As soon as I showed him my nails he was like you should so name the blog post for these nails bamboozled!

Kustom!

Today I have a bright spring polish that I have been lemming for what seems like forever, Kustom Kicks from China Glaze. It's not like it's HTF or anything, so maybe that's why I out off buying it for so long, I was waiting to find it for a good price :)

In the bottle Kustom Kicks appears to be a teal cream with gold microshimmer. On the nail the microshimmer is pretty subtle, and I was a little disappointed that the shimmer wasn't as visible. I couldn't even get it to show up on camera!!

The great thing about this polish, however, is the formula. This is only one coat!! Great opacity, and it applied super smooth, no issues at all! :)

While on the topic of "kicks", I just got myself s new pair of shoes I'd like to share with you.

Since early February I've been trying to be more active and I found that my old, cheap pair of runners were actually causing a bit of pain in my ankles and knees, not to mention starting to fall apart! Long story short, I got these new Reebok Real Flex's :) I really like them, they are super comfy and look bad ass!

Spotted - New Sally Hansen

While in The States over the weekend I found some new to me nail polish strips from Sally Hansen and managed to grab a quick snap with my phone. I figured it was worth sharing. They are vey bright and spring like, just in time for Easter this weekend :)

From left to right, Not a Peep!, All a Flutter, Mad for Plaid, Checker Out and Pink-a-dot.

I think Not a Peep! is my fave, not only ate the little birdies super cute, but the name is too!

I'd like to do more posts like this, I love when other bloggers post what's new in their areas. I have the advantage of showcasing whats new in Canada and the U.S with my frequent monthly trips across the boarder :)
