One last modification to my previous layering of manis! It started with Sally Hanson Salon Nail Lacquer in Hearts on Fire, a saturated red Jelly on Valentines. I then sandwiched Sinful Colors Unwrap Me, a black and red/magenta glitter, in between Hearts on Fire on Saturday. Finally on Sunday, I added a simple Bundles monster stamp to my ring fingers from plate BM-411.
I stamped with Konad special polish in white. I love this design, I almost overlooked it at first glace. does that ever happen to you? You don;t even realize awesome designs that are included on your plates.... probably because you own too many like me...! If you created this design for the Bundle Monster contest last year, please let me know!
As you can see I applied the heart monitor design to line up with the smile line on my nail and I am happy with the simple yet elegant look. you can really see the pop of magenta in the gliter, I love how it peeks through. A whole lot of red for me this past weekend, but I promise I will have a polish from the other end of the colour spectrum tomorrow!

Wrapped Up Gifts
I was inspired by my braided accent nails yesterday for the next theme in NailPolishCanada.com's holiday nail art contest. This week's theme is gifts. The braided pattern reminds me of holiday wrapping paper, so I went in with a thin striper to clean up the lines and make it a perfect patten! First is a close up of the "wrapping paper" patterned nail.

To complete the look on all of my nails I stamped some bows from Kondad dupe plate M 59 from the Born Pretty Store and freehanded some stripes of sliver ribbon. For the bows and stripes of ribbon I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Celeb City. This is such a great foil polish by the way! It didn't stamp as opaque as I had thought, but it was good enough. I also added some triangular rhinestones to the middle of each bow.

Bubbly!
Tody I have a mani refresh with Zoya's Zuza. I wanted to do some stamping and had this idea of my head of a bold, white lined design over the teal. After looking though my plates I found a design I was happy with from Konad. This bubbly design can be found on Konad plate M-85. I believe this is one of the newer plates they have released.
To stamp I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Whirlwind White. It worked perfectly with this image, just as good as the special polish, nice and thick.
To top everything off I applied Claire's Mermaid over the design. Mermaid is a light teal shimmer with a pink/magenta sheen that unfortunately is hard to see in pictures. I wish this polish could be built up to opacity but it is just too thin. It is great over top another colour, so at least it is useful.I thought it was perfect for the bubble design, in the right lighting it has the same reflective sheen soap bubbles have :)

Konad Starter Kit Review!
Today I have an kit for review from NailPolishCanada.com, it's from Konad so you know it's gonna be good ;)
They provided me with a Konad starter kit which is great for beginners because it includes all the essentials, stamper, scraper, special polish plus plate M-36. I was lucky enough to start out using Konad branded plates when I first started stamping, maybe because at the time there were no other substitutions! However, if you are new to stamping I would highly recommend starting with Konad as well, you cannot beat the quality.
I decided to try each design over an orange card with the white stamping polish that came with the kit. The scraper you receive in this kit is metal, which is personally not my first choice, my go to stamper is fully plastic.
My experience with metal scraper was alright, compared to my regular plastic scraper I felt like I had to apply more pressure to remove re excess polish from the design. It also left very fine scratch marks on the plate, fortunately this does not effect the designs at all.
The mini special polish applied quite well to the image plates and the brush was the perfect size, so no issues there. I did feel like it was the tiniest bit thinner than the special white polish I already own but that may be because I have had it for years!
The only issue I had was with the intricacy of some of the designs on the plate. I could just not get them to stamp fully! I applied less polish, more polish, less pressure and more pressure to the scraper and stamper. Below was my best run at stamping all of the designs with the products included in the kit.
I also wanted to refresh my mani so I applied my favorite design over Nfu Oh 65.
Overall I would recommend this kit is you are looking to start Konad stamping, it would be nice if you were able to pick your own plate to go with the kits. I did have some issues with Plate M-36 particularly but I have never had these issues with the other Konad plates in my collection.
Also...
Don't forget the contest NailPolishCanada.com is running to win a Konad prize pack valued at $51! Click here to find out more information.

Haulin' Part 1 + A Contest!
I got some nail mail! The first package comes from Amazon, I got me the new China Glaze neons, just in time for the sunny weather too!
I picked up for in total from the collection so far, the newest three additions left to right include I'm With The Lifegaurd, Sunkissed, and Flirty Tankini.
Flirty Tankini doesn't look the same as the photos I saw online unfortunately, right now I don't know what to think of it. It's not as neon as the others either :( oh well! I don't think there is any coral that will live up to Flip Flop Fantasy, I think it is honestly my fave China Glaze polish, it's the only CG I have a backup of! Below are some close ups of each bottle so you can see the shimmer better. Flirty Tankini is not colour accurate at all :( I just could not get the proper shade of pink that it is to show up on camera!
Moving on now to some nail art stuffs! This was actually sent to me from NailPolishCanada.com, so you can expect a review on this starter kit soon. It consists of plate M-36 plus a stamper, metal scraper and white mini special polish. They are also running a contest right now to win a Konad prize pack including the starter kit I will be reviewing! The kit includes:
1 x Konad Basic Kit
2 x Choice of any image plates
2 x Choice of any special polishes
You can enter this contest here.
That is all for now, I am expecting another small package in the mail from Zoya tonight, I can't wait to get tit! Some more summer pretties :) I'll post those within the next few days provided they arrive tonight.

A Glitzy Refresh
Today I have a mani refresh with yesterday's Color Club polish Oh Naturale. I wanted to do some stamping so I grabbed Konad plate M-57 and used the leopard print. I think I have used this one the most out of all the plates I own! I stamped using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Whirlwind white, this has been my go to stamping polish lately.
It looked cute on it's own but I was feeling something shiny so I added a top coat of NYX Girls Gilded Glitter. This sparkly gold glitter has a faint, sheer base of gold and I realigning the effect it gave over the white, it Madeira look not to stark. The actual glitter pieces are all chopped up and irregular which is the reason why I got it, it's so random and awesome.

Konad Promo for Beginners on NailPolishCanada.com!
Take a look at the email I received earlier today from NailPolishCanada.com:
Konad nail stamping allows you to imprint hundreds of pre-made designs onto your nails. Started in South Korea and now a worldwide phenomenon there are over 7000 user generated videos on Youtube showcasing Konad. (Some have over a million views!).
It's easy, simply paint nail polish (Konad polish is thicker and works best) onto an image plate, use the stamp to pick up the design and press the stamp to your nail. You’re left with beautiful nail art.
We would like everybody to have a chance to try Konad so until the end of April you can get everything you need to try Konad with the Basic Kit for only $12 ($5 OFF).
Now I'm sure all of you know what Konad is, but I'm sure that some people are still new to it or have never tried it. I think it's a pretty good promo for a starter kit and wanted to share the information with those interested in trying Konad for the first time. You can view their basic kit here.

Bunny Nails! - An Easter Repost
Happy Easter Monday :) for those of you lucky enough to get the day off today I envy you! Today I'm sharing with you some Easter bunny nails.
It's actually pretty simple, using China Glaze's Light as Air as a base I stamped little bunnies from Konad dupe plate S10, which I got from the Born Pretty Store. The images on this plate worked perfectly with my Konad special polish in white, but when I tried some other regular polishes (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri) that normally work good for stamping, they didn't deliver on this plate.
I stamped the cute little bunnies pretty randomly on each nail so no two are the same. I added two coats of China Glaze Golden Enchantment on top, which is a gold holo glitter :) for the most part in doors it looks like a subtle gold glitter, but in direct lighting and natural sunlight the holo particles really shine!

Bamboo-zled!
I haven't been using Konad/ fauxnad as much as I'd like to lately, and wanted a fresh new look without taking off Kustom Kicks, so I used my Konad dupe, M66 and stamped some bamboo with Konad special white polish!
To top everything off I applied two coats of Funky Fingers flakie, Asylum. In certain lighting my nails reminded me of a mermaids tail :) I kind of wish I had taken some more photos, by the time I looked at them on my computer I had already removed this mani. I can tell you is that it looked a lot cooler in real life.
P.S. My boyfriend takes credit for the title of this post! As soon as I showed him my nails he was like you should so name the blog post for these nails bamboozled!

Nail Polish Canada - Konad Review!
Today I have a Konad plate that Nail Polish Canada sent me for review. I love Konad, so when they contacted me I was super excited! I got to pick from two of the newer plates that were released from Konad recently, I chose M85. I love my full nail designs.
Michelle from Nail Polish Canada sent me a nice little letter along with the plate. Over all shipping was quick, they are located in Vancouver and I received my plate in Toronto within 7 business days. The great thing about ordering from their site is free shipping for all Konad plates, no minimum. The only catch is they are a couple bucks more than sites like www.wowsocool.com. WowSoCool has a minimum of ourcahse of $20 for free shipping.
Along with Konad plate M85, they also now carry plate M84 with the rest of the Konad collection.
One thing I wasn't used to was not removing a plastic covering on the plate lol. I'm so used to the Bundle Monster plates I guess, shows you how long it's been since I've purchased Konad!
The images all stamped perfect on the first try. I used Konad white special polish.
An unexpected favorite was the stars. I can see myself using this image as a full nail rainbow pattern :)
I can tell when my nails are too long when the Konad plates don't full the fill height of my nail! That being said these designs were pretty easy to match up and double stamp.
Overall I had a great experience with www.nailpolishcanada.com, quick shipping, friendly service and a good variety of products :)

Terracotta
Is anyone else sick of winter? Lucky winter in Toronto hasn't been that bad this year, snow wise anyways. I just love when the season starts to change over to spring, can't wait for the weather to changing.
That being said I have a bright to share with you today, Orly's Terricotta! This is one of those bright pinks that appears to look different in different lighting. When I applied it, it looked like a bright pink/magenta, but I find in lower light it looks more coral, in other lighting it looks more red. In the lighting above my desk at work it is neon orange!
I applied two perfectly pigmented coats. The formula on this was perfect :) If only I could get it to photograph correctly.
I used some Konad for the design on my ring fingers, I will have more on which plate it is and other designs it offers tomorrow :)

Some Broken Nails and Lace
So, here are my nails now, after the break. I went to pull open a drawer, didn't have as good as a grip as I thought, pulled real hard and SNAP! My middle and index finger nails snapped clean off :( My index finger doesn't look too bad, but my middle, although trimmed, still has a crack in the side right down to the skin! I'm going t try to grow it out as much as I can before cutting it down more. It is also lopsided now.
Here are my nails right after I filed them neat and and clean, and shortened the others to match.
So how to fix it? Nail art of course! I had my first Christmas get together of the season and wanted my newly filed nubs to look their best. I decided I would create a lace look on my nails.
To start, I pulled out Wet n' Wild's Tangled in My Web, I applied 1 coat and a bit, trying to get a good amount of the hex glitter on each nail. When that was dry, I pulled out Konad plate M-57, this has the fishnet pattern and flowers. First I stamped the flowers on my mails randomly, sometimes more than once in different spots. Then I stamped over that with the fishnet pattern. Once you apply your top coat, you're all done! This was my first time trying it, but I really liked the effect :)
Have you ever tried lace nails? what did you use to create them?

Finger Nails are Pretty, Finger Nails Are Gooooood....
So the Foo fighters came to Toronto last Tuesday and all I can say is wow, what a show! I was never a hardcore fan, but really enjoy their music enough to go see them. This show was packed! Totally sold out and pricey, at more than $70 it was the most I have ever spent to see a band!
Was it worth it? HELL YES! I wish I could see them again! They played non-stop for 2 hours STRAIGHT! The encore was a decent length too! although I didn't have the best seats, it was just so awesome, Dave Grohl just gives off such a good vibe, he seems like such a happy guy. He really gave it his all the whole night.
This is what I wore to the concert that night, it's actually a re-fresh of Color Clubs The Lime Starts Here, with green special polish stamped gradating spots from Konad plate m60. I really like how the darker green made the neon green really pop. I love the combo.
I originally stamped the same pattern with a black polish but it looked way too frankenstein lol. I love Halloween, but comeon, it's still August.
I love the mock gradient look it has, super fun! It inspired me to attempt another nail art design, almost like a comic book, you know the spots? but I want to use print colours (cyan, magenta and yellow) on a white base! I haven't attempted it yet, but soon.
Here's a couple more photos from the show, if you want to know where I got the name for this post click here. It's about 35 seconds in ;)
