I would describe Orly's Peacock as a light blue foil. It applied amazingly, shown in the photos are 2 coats, but you may be able to get away with one thick coat.
This polish just glows from within, it is so awesome! I heard a lot of people comparing it to OPI's Swimsuit, Nailed It, and honestly, I've seen both bottles in person and I don't think they are dupey. I almost picked up the OPI, but I'm glad I waited for this one, I love this shade of blue way more than the OPI. I have nothing like this in my collection at all. It is such a perfect blue foil.
The only drawback? It took a little while to dry. I used my NYC quick dry top coat, which is second best to Seche Vite, so it usually is pretty good. Not sure if it was a polish or top coat situation. On a good note, it didn't stain my nails! Usually pigmented blues do but this one didn't, woot! If you were wondering, I used OPI's Ridge Filing base coat under this. Not sure if that may have helped with the staining.
There were so many pretty shades in the Birds of a Feather collection but I didn't really see the collection on display at all in Sally's just the sets around Christmas time, for an awesome price too, only $8.99. That's like $3 a polish! I saw most of the colours at Ulta a month back, but that was it. Have you found this collection anywhere?
OOooooooOOOooh! And I love the name. I think I have a new lemming. First one of the new year!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorites from last year! It's stunning!
ReplyDeleteI got the 3 color collection at Sally's a month or so ago as a gift for a friend. After seeing how gorgeous Sweet Peacock is, I will probably be borrowing it a lot! Looks great on you, BTW.
