Today I have a refresh for Orly's Nite Owl. I originally wanted to stamp some lace designs on my nails in black over the nude but changed my mind last minute and went with a flower pattern instead. To keep the design subtle I used a black polish for stamping that I wouldn't normally use, it is much thinner than my regular stamping polish, so the final stamp wasn't so dark or harsh. For the design I used A Cheeky XL plate, E.
Over top of the design I opted to use a glitter topper instead of a top coat, I went with one of the new polishes I just picked up, Silver Lining. It is not shown in the photo, I actually grabbed the wrong bottle of Kleancolor polish lol oh well, you saw what the bottle looks like in my last post. It is a silver glitter with random purple hex glitter. I love how the hex glitter went together with the flowers, they look like they were included in the design and precisely placed. It's nice when things work out like that!

Nail Mail!!
I got a package in the mail the other day all the way from France!! Ruxi is getting rid of some polishes in a blog sale and I decided to snatch some up! I'll start off with the two polishes I picked up extra, these were not the reason why I initially made the purchase but came along for the ride, plus they were a good price :) Here are my two new Kleancolor's, left to right, Disco Ball and Silver Lining.
These are both glitter top coats, Disco Ball has pink and blue glitter packed in a clear base, and Silver Lining is saturated with silver microglitter and medium sized purple hex glitter. Disco I got mostly to try out between some jellies. Silver Lining was a lot prettier that I originally thought in person, I'm actually wearing it right now, I'm happy with both of these!
Moving on now to a polish I already own bit wanted a backup of, Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear, Pumpkin Spice. If I was given the choice to wear only one polish all of October this would have to be it! I love it so! I wore this at the very beginning of October and fell in love! Since it is a jelly I needed three coats for opacity and consumed a good chunk of the polish with the bottles being so small. I was kind of sad because I loved it but didn't want to waste it. I was lucky to snatch up a backup bottle of this polish since it was limited edition and is now super hard to find.
Above are some one coat swatches of my new polishes, with the exception of Pumpkin Spice which you can see more of here.
Another hard to find jelly? The star of this haul!! Sinful Color Cinderella!! I'm so happy to finally own this one. Whenever I am in the States I search high and low for this one with no luck. Cinderella is a light baby blue jelly with pink and gold flecked shimmer, it is so unique and reminds me of Cinderella's ball gown in the movie.

Lovin' Layering Part 2 - Poor Man's Merry Midnight?
Happy Friday! So back to yesterday's mani, Milani's Rad Purple and Kleancolor's Black Chunky Holo. And now to complete this look...
Milani's Totally Cool! This is what i'd like to call a Milani jelly sandwich... Or the way it looks in certain lighting I would consider it a poor mans Merry Midnight. It's not a dupe but has the same elements for sure. I love how the bigger pieces of glitter peak through the shimmer in Totally Cool. It's so awesome from so many angles you know I had to post many photos...
Milani's Totally Cool has a deep purple jelly base, this is much darker and blue toned than Rad Purple. Scattered within this polish is a duochrome shimmer with very similar colour shifts as the Kleancolor glitter.
I've never worn it on it's own before but from this one application I could tell it is thin. This was perfect for layering over the Kleancolor, only one coat was needed.
All indoor photos are with no topcoat and all outdoor photos are with my NYC quick dry top coat. I really love this combo! I have got to layer my polishes more :)

Lovin' Layering
About a day after applying Milani's Rad Purple I realized I should have taken advantage of this jelly by layering other polishes in between! Since it was a little too late I decided to layer a glitter on top and leave it at that... for now lol
I used Kleancolor's Black Chunky Holo and applied one coat. This glitter polish is made up of different sized hex and regular smaller glitter particles that are opalescent. In different angles of lighting they appear to shift in colour. They range from red, orange, yellow, green, and if you're lucky blue!
On another note, I've found a better way to apply glitters only recently. The funny thing is I had been hearing about it for years but I guess it never really clicked, I would still always apply thicker glitters the same as any other polish.

Spacey & Feedback - Please Read
Before I get in to the nail polish today, I'd like to get some feedback on the content I have been displaying on my blog. If seems for the last little while I have not been getting as many views or comments as I used to, I was just wondering if it was a content issue or something else. I am at the highest count right now for followers, and I couldn't be more thankful, so it just seemed a bit weird to me.
I know personally that I feelas if I don't have as much time as I used to for viewing or commenting on blogs, so this may be the case for you as well. However, I am open to suggestions for ways to improve. It's kind of uninspiring to put some effort in to coming up with a full blog post when no one is really interested in it, and that is why I need your help! I have some comparison posts coming up soon, how interested are you in those types of posts? It would really mean a lot if you let me know what you would like to see more of on my blog :) Would you prefer less talking, more photos, or vice-versa?
Anyways, thanks for reading the top little bit if you did, on to the nail polish, today I have an awesome glitter to share with you, Kleancolors Chunky Black Holo. This polish consists of different size glitter ranging from small circular glitter to large hexagonal chunks.
Depending on your angling and lighting the glitter colour shifts from orange, red, yellow green and even a bit of blue! I took photos in many different light settings, the last one was taken with bathroom lighting!
I used a base colour of Color Clubs Blue-Topia from the latest fall, Boho collection. This was one thick coat, and although you can't tell in the photos, I could have gone with 2. The glitter camouflaged the streaks. This polish is a deep blue jelly and although I forgot to take photos before I applied the glitter, I will have a comparison between this and another deep blue jelly coming up soon.
I applied only 1 coat of the glitter, and it wasn't even that thick! Definitely a densely packed glitter!
I don't think my photos do it justice, it is so cool to look at in person, very space-like.

Bluebell Fail
So I decided to layer Kleancolor's Chunky Holo Bluebell over NYX Girls Ink Heart. Kleancolor's smell... lol they are strong, but worth it for some of the interesting polishes they have. It looked super cool, but I think I layered on the coats a little too thick.
These photos are taken with 2 thick coats of Bluebell. It looks alright, right? It took a long time to dry, I will have to be a little more patient next time and build up the polish in thinner coats.
As you can see in the photos, this polish is pretty saturated with glitter for only 2 coats, Although I wouldn't recommend wearing it on it's own. Now for the unfortunate part...

Haulin' Part 1
Guess who made a large purchase from the Beauty Joint recently .... ME! Not sure if may of you have heard about the Beauty Joint, but they carry Kleancolor, Milani, NYX girls and other polish. That what what I was most interested in anyways, they also carry makeup and other beauty stuff.
Take a look at the beauties I picked up below.
Take a look at the beauties I picked up below.
First we have Kleancolor's Green With Envy and Blue Eyed Girl. Both contain large hex glitter and smaller glitter in a green/blue jelly base. I got this for layering, but I am interested to see how they would look on their own.
Next, some of their "holo's" I wonder why they call them that... anyways, I got Bluebell, Scarlet and Black Chunky holo. You need to click on these photos and enlarge them, the glitter looks soooo cool and changes depending on ighting. I'm sure you have all seen these a couple of times by now.
On to the NYX polishes, I got Dorthy and Ink Heart. Dorthy looks like a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Ruby Red Slippers, that why I got it ;) Same look for a fraction of the price. For those of who who are unfamiliar with the polish, it is a black jelly base with large red hex and small glitter. Ink Heart is a deep jelly blue, it's a one coater!
The last 2 NYX polishes are Golden Lavender and Pistachio. Pistachio is more of a grayed toned turquoise, nothing close to the real thing, although I do love the name. Golden Lavender is a pretty, light purple with a golden shimmer. The colour combo is awesome, I have nothing close to this and hope that it looks as great on the nail as it does in the bottle. The closest polish I have is Zoya Dannii, and although I haven't compared them side by side I can see that the shimmer in the NYX polish is a lot more subtle.
