Yummy Gum Drop :)

Hello ladies,

I was in a springy mood this weekend so I decided to wear a girly pastel from Revlon called Gum Drop. This polish was apart of the scented collection Revlon released last year. I actually liked the scent of this one, sweet and sugary, like candy :)

Although it is a pretty shade, it took 4 coats to reach opacity and smooth out any streaking. Worried that it would take forever to dry, I grabbed Seche Vite for my topcoat and it dried perfectly!

The actual colour is a light lilac leaning blue, simular to China Glazes Light as Air, but brighter. I actually like how this one isn't to stark, the formula wasn't quite a creme, not quite a jelly. And although it took 4 coats to build up the colour, the end result gave amazing depth.

I wore this polish to my second trip to the U.S, I took some pics in the car with my newest coach bag :)

I wore this polish for 4 days and started to get some chipping on my thumb nail by the end of the 4th day. I could still faintly smell the scent also. I had wanted to do some cute nail art with with the colour but I couldn't make up my mind! I ended up doing some nail art that I didn't like and eventually took all off and painted over lol.

Another car photo, this time with some yummy snacks :)

Over all I really love this colour, I would really like to wear it under China Glaze's Cracked Concrete (it's in the mail, wooot!). I actually purchased a back up of this shade also because I liked it so much, I had originally first tried it on my toes. I kept telling my boyfriend to smell my toes lol

Do you like the Revlon scented polishes? Which is your favorite?

  2. My fav is always Not So Blue-berry. I don't mind the scents, I think it adds something fun to the polish

  3. I just picked up 4 or 5 of these too and I agree with Halifax - the blueberry is really nice.

  6. Thanks ladies :) I have a few more scented ones from the collection, but not a lot.

Halifax - Everyone seems to love that polish! I haven't seen it in person yet, I'll have to take a better look at it in the store.

Une Ruxi à Paris - aww that sucks. I'm sure something similar will be released eventually

  7. I wanted to start by saying I love your blog lol it's inspired me to do some fun things with my nails. What I was wondering though is how on earth you apply some of the lighter shades (which tend to have a thick and uneven application) so smoothly and you don't have any on your cuticles at all. I only buy China Glaze polish and I am in love with For Audrey but whenever I apply it it's just very messy and gets on my cuticles. I am ordering some of the Anchors Away collection and a lot of the colours I want seem that they will apply the same way. Would you be able to upload a video of you applying a colour such as this?
